Grand Central Terminal, also known as Grand Central Station or just Grand Central, is a commuter rail station in Midtown Manhattan. It serves both the Metro-North Railroad and the New York City Subway using 44 platforms with 67 tracks running along them, making it the largest station in the world by number of platforms. Grand Central is what makes the MetLife Building a noticeable landmark in NYC because they are connected.
